The cascades plunge 600 metres down from the Engstligenalp plateau into the valley below. Switzerland's second-highest waterfalls offer a unique natural spectacle that has been protected by cantonal nature conservation laws since 1948. Visitors can discover the sparkling spectacle in all its glory on a circular trail, mountain hiking trail or via ferrata, by bus or gondola lift.

The ride up the Schilthorn offers a very special highlight: between the valley station in Stechelberg and the mountain village of Mürren, you will experience the world's steepest cable car! Once you arrive at the top of the 2970-metre-high Schilthorn, you can enjoy a spectacular 360° panorama with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, as well as over 200 other mountain peaks.

Its’ been chugging away since 1892: The Brienz Rothorn Railway pufs past Alpine meadows, streams, rocks and through sparse forests above the tree line to the Brienzer Rothorn at 2351 metres above sea level. During the one-hour ride (7.6 kilometres), a breathtaking panorama over the imposing Bernese Oberland opens up – realise your dreams!

From the Sustenpass road within ten minutes directly up to the foot of the Gadmer Dolomites. This is made possible by the Tällibahn. The gondola of the former factory railroad offers space for eight excursionists. Up there, everyone, whether still young or already a little older, will find their personal favorite spot.

The journey on the nostalgic cogwheel railway is an experience in itself. Once you reach the top, panoramic views of the Jungfrau region and Lake Thun await you.

In just seven minutes, the cable car will take you from the Elsigbach valley station directly to Elsigenalp at 1800 metres above sea level. Once at the top, you can relax in the midst of impressive nature, enjoy the clear air and simply let your mind unwind. The picturesque Brandsee is only 15 minutes away and invites you to swim from mid-summer. You can also rent SUP boards including paddles and life jackets here and take a turn on the water. Don't forget to take a souvenir photo at the photo point by the lake! If you want to take a short break, there are numerous barbecue areas around the Brandsee lake, offering the perfect opportunity to have a barbecue in good company. Wood is of course provided!

The gondola takes you from the Grimsel Hospiz down to the foot of the Grimsel dam wall in just a few minutes and to the hiking trails towards Rätrichsbodensee and Grimselsee.

The Meiringen-Hasliberg mountain railways provide access to a diverse hiking and snow sports paradise above the Hasli Valley. Varied hiking trails (summer) and ski slopes (winter) offer nature experiences for every taste. And all this with spectacular panoramic views of the Bernese Oberland Alpine peaks.

The little red cable car takes you up to a wonderful hiking area with a breathtaking view of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. In summer, you can whizz back to the village on a scooter bike, and in winter you can take the same route on a sledge. 🚠🏔️

On the Stockhorn, a spectacular view as far as Mont Blanc awaits you. For the little ones, there is an exciting quiz trail, an adventure trail and two great playgrounds. A special highlight is the panoramic platform with a transparent floor - a thrill not to be missed!

The breathtaking Alpine panorama, the ridge trail and the wild ibex are worth a trip to the Niederhorn. Rocky & his gang will keep you on your toes! Never heard of Rocky? The Männlichen is a hiking paradise for every taste: Set off on a scenic hike with the Eiger North Face in view, watch marmots or discover what the famous picture-book cow Lieselotte will never forget on the Lieselotteweg trail.

Eye to eye with the wild brook and the mighty, 120-meter-high Reichenbach Falls, the nostalgia railroad rides upwards in its faithfully reproduced 24-place wooden carriage. For Sherlock Holmes fans, this excursion is almost a must.

The nostalgic funicular dating from 1910 takes you up to the summit of the majestic pyramid above Lake Thun. At the top, a breathtaking 360-degree panorama of the Bernese Alps, Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, as far as the Jura, or a mystical cloudscape awaits you.

The Sidelhornbahn cable car takes you from the Hotel Grimsel Hospiz across Lake Grimsel to the foot of the Sidelhorn, the starting point for the alpine hiking route to the summit of the Sidelhorn and the breathtaking high-altitude trail to Lake Trübten and Lake Oberaar. This gondola was also once a works railway and now takes hikers in just a few minutes to the continental watershed of the Aare and Rhone, from north to south.

From the Grimsel Hospiz, the two-part, approx. 30-minute journey takes you across the Grimselsee to the Oberaarsee, at the end of which the Aare rises from the glacier of the same name.
